If I'm changing states I buy the longest MVR I can from the state I'm leaving right before I change over, because it can be harder to get one after I'm no longer a resident there. In the current state I get a new one when I want to apply, and it will go back and overlap the previous state's one.
When I apply I offer to supply however many years of clean MVR I happen to have, and I've got them in pdf's I can send right along or attach to the app.
If I'm dropping off resumes it's only a couple extra pieces of paper that do make a difference. They'll do their own check anyway, but it shows that you have nothing to declare and you know what they need. I've gotten calls back right after doing that.
Employment history checking is optional if they need drivers. I just had one desperate owner tell me they wouldn't check on anything I put down but they need it on the form. Not that I care, my history is a gappy mess and that's how they get it served up. Go ahead, sniff at me and leave that seat empty.
@road_runner you are solid gold right now with that many years safe, pick the opening you want and it's likely yours.
Mike, nice to see you got your cab back.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
My Aux power didn’t work with this trailer and all day I scored a false positive idle.double_r Thanks this. -
Ya, it sucks. Have to keep the marker lights on for the inside trailer lights to work. Where you at that Curtze is delivering. I thought Ohio was Northern territoryMike2633 Thanks this.

The Crows Nest in Ashtabula, Ohio.
Nice people there. I see Cutze in Ashtabula County can’t say I’ve ever seen them far past that though. Can’t say I’ve ever seen Northern out that Far East.
What’s funny is the mud flaps on that truck said Hans Freightliner Cleveland,Ohio
Which makes sense both companies have real similar equipment they are sister companies so they use the same truck dealer.double_r Thanks this. -
I think that is as far as they go west into Ohio. Pittsburgh yards went as far west as St. Clairsville, Stubenville and East Liverpool. Makes sense to buy all the equipment off one dealer, bulk discount.
