Well, I would be home right now. But some bonehead decided to take his 10 break, less than a 100 miles away.

Load was due here 48 hours ago. I’ll be home by 1. Maybe there will still be some turkey left.

i am fortunate that the job i have the customer shuts down for the weekend, so we have a 4 day weekend..now, we still had to work T-Day eve, and when i got home this morning, it was straight to helping the g/f prep T-day dinner, so no sleep for me till later....or i may fall asleep in my smashed potatoes...lol

but sadly, too many times i pass by a truck stop, and see trucks parked (and idling as the temps drop), and those guys//gals are not home for the holidays.....

which only equals more tax dollars taken out, so that $140, might get you $98 net......(i based that on my states 30% income tax)...hardly worth a turkey dinner......

    Wargames and laaylor Thank this.

Not all who wander are lost :)

I’ll be home today. But have worked many holidays in the past. And not just because I was stuck.

I have a very interesting family. We all work jobs that are not the regular 9-5. Nurses, LEO, etc. We have to plan every holiday weeks in advance.

Don’t feel bad for me if you see me at a truckstop on a family holiday. Because I won’t feel bad for you the next week, while me and my family celebrate. ;)

    Have a good Thanksgiving :)

    I hear you lol

But I’m not sure paper could have saved me here. This guy picked up the load on the 18th. Less than a 1000 miles away. Even on elogs, he could have reset and made it.

    laaylor and buddyd157 Thank this.
