    Yup. 45 hours (driving time) from LA to NYC, and in those days if the driver left LA early morning on Monday, he was sitting in the dock sometime on Wednesday. And I'm talking a solo driver...

    Those days are long gone for all but a select few with old enough trucks or gliders.

    He is the BEST man. And I never forget it. He never comes home to a dirty house, sandwiches, no clean laundry, or drama. I don't allow it - he deserves a safe haven of comfort and peace. Love is a powerful thing.

    At home smoking a turkey. My wife has to work today and she doesn't know how to cook, so I'm on it. Son and 6 year old grandson are visiting.......there will be no peace.......but it's all good. Roll out on Monday morning.

    Im Home......(4 day weekend).

    But Im seeing many comments on how the thanksgiving week is hard on trying to make money cause nobody wants to work-

    I Believe that if your a company driver- You should be paid Holiday pay for Thursday and Friday...That will offset those 2 days.
