Those flattop KW’s have always held their resale, no matter the economy. 1.3 million on a 27 year old truck means it’s either a truck that was a toy hauler, race car transport, or the odometer is off by a million.

Cheap steers, mismatched drives, no interior pics and a hood that is a different color all throw up warning signs. But then again it has a N14, tall rubber, Elog exempt, so its worth 25k to me.

Yeah, mismatched tires are just one of those "clues" that maybe you should stay away. Often a hint regarding how the truck has been maintained over its lifetime.

Also says something about the person trying to sell the vehicle. Gotta spend some money to make money and if you want to sell a product, it needs to look appealing and not set off red flags from first sight. There are a LOT of used trucks out there that don't have mismatched tires, have a lot of good photographs of everything a potential buyer might want to see before they make the trip to do an in person look through.

People eat with their eyes first. Something could be the tastiest treat on the planet, but if it looks like a pile of crap it's hard for folks to want to take a bite.

No ketchup for the hash browns? By the way, those are the best type of hash browns, not that junk McDonald’s or Burger King tries to pass off. Shredded potatoes fried for the win!

It was our vacation. She wanted to see the Grand Canyon so we did the touristy stuff there. Took some pics at 4-corners and monument valley. Stayed the night in Durango. Watched “The Silverton” roll out the next morning. Shoveling coal. One of the coolest things about the whole trip.

Then we headed east across the pass. Stopped at the waterfall for a while. Stopped to walk in the snow up on top (it was June). It was a good time.

I guess my only regret is that we didn’t take the time to ride the train to Silverton.

$25k is fair for a solid running truck. $35k is too high for a flawed truck. For $35, I'd want 550HP and an 18 speed (I don't believe the big power came along until the late 90s) and 46k rears.

Mr @stwik, do you know how to play the game? If it's used and at a dealer, they're going to try to pork you. They sit back in the office while you wait in the cubicle and make bets. "I bet that I can pork this kid and make him thank me when I'm done." "I bet I could pork this kid so hard that his Momma's toes curl."

I'm going to tell you a secret: as long as you can walk away, they cannot win. Keep that in mind when bargaining.
"I want it dyno tested. I want new drive tires. I want a new driver's seat. I want a new mattress. I want a go with that receptionist. I want the manager to give me 30 seconds while I draw a crowd to watch him kiss my arse."
