Thanksgiving Roll Call

Got home 9am thanksgiving morning. Off rest of week

I know, I am one of a few on earth like this, there is another owner who flew the families out to see their husbands and wives but when I floated the idea to the drivers they said no way.

By the way, I had one driver get into an accident last night, he is in the hospital and I have his wife and kid flying out to Colorado to be with him.

 

It's not fancy, but this our Thanksgiving table tonight. We have two empty settings you can't see - one for my Daddy whom we lost 3 years ago this month and one for whomever might wander to the door in need of a warm hearth. The table was built in 1902 by my great grandfather at the ranch in West Texas and has seen everything.

I hope everyone on the road has a safe, cozy night and can be with people they love soon.

 

Going back to work on Monday Be safe out there folks and stay warm.

 

I was home last weekend when I overheard my better half tell her grand daughters " let's put up the Xmas tree ! " it required no thought on my part to grab some beer and sneak out to the garage ..turn the heat on and find something to do ....careful not to draw attention to my self .
