I cut the middle man out of our Napa equation. We just about order everything through Napa pro-link. You can see store inventory, other stores and distribution center quanties. They are fifteen miles away, but will deliver three times a day.

Fleetpride did me well last week on wabco Trailer 6 ‘ wiring harness. After calling every one. They had 1 in stock $75. I had quotes as high as $140. I got Lucky. Some Napa’s better than others on in stock Truck parts. Only place I could find nice shrink but connectors that have thin layer of solder . I can do an in-line splice and slide connector over it then heat shrink and it solders joint no need to crimp. Cover with liquid tape and another shrink tube over everything.Solid strong connection

Nearest fleetpride is almost 1.5 hours from me. So that's not an option.

I’m not a fan of quick connects. While very handy almost necessary in tight spots. Seems they have a life. I currently have a lot of small leaks in dash from all the connectors. Even the switches for dump / air slide/ axle lock are all seeping air. They’re only $15 each. However looking at them I can easily tap threads into plastic and use compression fittings. Keeping a supply of all sizes Ferrell’s helps in emergencies. Along with assortment of quick conects. I recently had a problem with the same fitting your dealing with. After hitting a small turtle on a two lane no shoulder middle of nowhere. Must have flew up and broke small air line. I quickly crawled under removed and dug out old broken air line and couldn’t find my spare Ferrell’s Ofcourse. Had to ream old one with needle nose pliers. Dropped it in the grass. Cops showed up helped me find Ferrell got it fixed before dark Lol . A quick connect would have served me well. I’m still looking for them goona just buy some more I guess.

Hwy 134 just west of Enterprise Al. It was almost dusk, I thought I could fix it quicker than it took me to put triangles out. 1 County cop stopped asked if I needed help said he wasn’t an officer but a fireman Only was borrowing the car for an errand, Said he would send an officer out . I told him no need thanks anyway. Lol. But He showed up while I was on my knees with phone flashlight. It was a funny moment but not at the time. He could have ripped me up and down and ordered a Tow Truck but instead he shined his flashlight and after a few minutes I found it.He didn’t get down crawling around just held flashlight!! But very friendly and helpful. The very idea a tiny turtle that I tried to avoid caused the damage. What’s the chances?Funniest part was hearing my wife say Oh No!!! That has become her key phrase since She’s been running with Me for a couple years now!!!

I've had good luck with compression fitting if the line has a clean cut and deburred the inside.

We keep the giant catalogues for all our major suppliers and just order everything by part number. At least then if I get the wrong stuff its my own fault.

Well here is the thing, you can order your napa stuff from a napa truck parts dealer and have it next day to you so you could have the truck on the road asap. If you don't think that it is right to spend $40 on shipping, then I would think 3 hours spent is better.

Don't get another push in connector, get an old style compression fitting with a feral and an insert, get a few of the different sizes to have in your tool box. AND because it is for the air system, ANY FITTING THAT IS ON THE TRUCK for anything has to conform to a DOT specs, no exceptions.
