Talked with them last year. Great equipment, great pay. Hope you like running at night. You run to get the show set up then you go to sleep, they tell you when to be back. You hookup and haul butt to the next stop.
You are out 4-6 months, depending on what show you are with. If you have an extended stop, you can fly home or work the show for a few days.
Good co., I just didn't want to be gone that long.

Worked 2 years for them in the early 90's.Good co.,good pay,Ryder equip. and back in the day hotels for multiple shows in the same town. Primarily night running after the show loads out.Depends on the show your on,could be 1 truck or 10. Usually slows down over winter but it's great to make and keep contacts if you wanna work in the touring biz.Reputation counts for everything.
Just got a call to work 4 J.Buffett shows last Dec. but had to decline since they would have laid me off till April or so after those shows.
My last stint was 9 months away from home but I didn't mind.
If your interested in that type of trucking you could try Upstaging out of Chicago also. Now is the time they would be hiring.

If you like miserable pay and no benefits, piss poor management and fellow drivers that rat on one another then Roadshow Services is for you. If you're looking to do this kind of work I would recommend Stage Call or Upstaging instead, anywhere but Roadshow Services.

How do you know it's a good company if you never worked there? Great pay you say. Really? Have you been getting paid the minimum wage and are comparing Roadshows low pay with that?
Oh Roadshow brags that you get four good meals a day. BFD. How about health insurance? Even In and Out Burger gives their employees health insurance.
Great equipment you say. Again, really? Based on what, just from talking to them last year, huh? Don't be surprised when you're stuck in a worn out cruddy Penske rental that reeks of thick stale tobacco smoke that can not be cleaned-detailed-ozonated or sprayed away. Whatever you do DO NOT LOOK AT THE MATTRESS. Yuch!
And wait till you get a load of the crew you'll be assigned to. Especially if you do a team run; 11 hour shift/max miles for less that $200 in a packed truck with no room for your bag. And wait till you get a load of the BS fines the lead driver will assess you for not having the interior trailer light on etc etc. Truly amazing.
And if you stand up for yourself the long term employee/lead driver will have you fired.
Best of luck YOU'LL NEED IT!

There are a legion of ex Roadshow drivers working for Roadshow competitors who will disagree with the above claims, especially the claim of great bennies. Zero bennies in fact.
Who the hell are these phonies that claim Roadshow is reputable, great equipment and bennies etc. Not one has even worked there!
Fake posts by a desperate person.

You can always start out with a bottom feeder like I did and it paid off in the end , networking skills are a must.
I got hooked up with JBL aka Harman working for a Turd outfit.
Ankle biting is part of the mindset on a Tour , theres always is a a hole at every gig weather it be lead driver , promoter , Freeman , union stage hands or local parking cops and the rent a dicks at the stadium or convention center., my PTSD actually goes into high everytime I see or hear a golf cart , my time is up now 20 years later and wearing the wheels off 30 suitcases and staying at the nicest hotels in the country has taken its toll , it all sucks.
There's always the TV boys over at NEP Pittsburgh.
I always wanted to get in with the movie studios , Paramount , Sony , Cowboy Jack those are gold plated jobs that are untouchable.
