So nobodys waiting in line on Black Friday for the brand new RCA 19" Color television?
Or the brand new VCR? (Which is short for "Video cassette recorder"

What a VCR does is it allows families to put in a large cassette style tape and record or watch movies

Best Buy, Target, and Walmart all have that TV for that price. Normally sells for $549 right? I've seen this type of behavior first hand several years ago, I believe it's a pretty common occurrence.

When my boys were younger they loved going to camp out for the latest/hot game console, etc.

They never encountered one problem with unruly people.

They had fun doing it. To them it was like a going on a hunt. Not my cup of tea, but hey, different strokes for different folks.

Those lead stories on places like Drudge Report are simply click bait.

You all complaining about dumb people buying stuff just to buy stuff which = freight to be hauled. = why you even have a income.

They are not saving too much. I did some research on the BenQ monitors they were offering (I use the 120 hertz model 24 inches which retailed about 620 after tax a few years ago when it was for a short time the absolute fastest gaming refreshing you could get at that time. If you were taking on a human shooter down the hall around the corner in a battlefield game, your refresh rate being twice his meant you will see him coming with 5 steps before he sees you finally on your third. He's already dead pending transfer of packets with kill shots to his computer for the respawn sequence.

It is my understanding that the BenQ's were a mere 60 hertz and adequate for basic stuff. But 144's and beyond are what you want for information on time in what I would call competition gaming.

The big advantage of BenQ monitors is that they use a 12 volt to drive most of the monitor on the back side. So it's more difficult for it to burn out being on all the time. (Screen saver helps alot as does f.lux blue light removal)

As far as the stampede of the people, I say it's not worth the savings to put yourself into that kind of a mob act. I am a licensed carry and have some specific new handicaps that make me less able to tolerate or withstand physical shoving etc. And the inner holster with magazines etc will probably be discovered soon enough despite concealment.

What I do instead is pick my purchasing targets very carefully. I might buy something once a year near the xmas at the hobby shop. But I do some buying quietly. Also ebay. The chinese Tarriff war has removed large amounts of pending production from retail release and caused some problems. But nothing I cannot work around.

I have only 4 planned purchasing going into the next 18 months. A recliner, a bed small queen, a computer chair recliner and a light wheelchair against problems medically into 2019. I already have a walker coming per doctors orders. And a handicap tag would be the next item.

Everything else is strictly related to big pipe music such as large headphones and associated keyboard stuff. One item will be pretty pricey a foot board to gain the bottom pipe via computer processing. That one will be close to a thousand dollars. If I cannot get to church to run their pipe, I'll buy the pipe here for the house.

Believe it or not a few trucking items related are also planned for purchasing to update into 2019. Atlas, Hazmat book and a few other similar items. Maybe a cheap cobra radio so i can strip off the necessary mike, power supply etc to feed into the Uniden with a base antenna for it.

The last time we ran into trouble was twice in my life. When I was 10. Ma took us to Golden Ring in Overlea in Baltimore which was a major mall before White Marsh was built. the month of december that year the upper deck all the way around was failing to move naturally under the overload of about 5 to 10 people across from center railing to store fronts and walls. Security had to make groups of us move downstairs and then cycle back up as the weight changed to help the entire walkway of he second floor stores begin to move again like it should. It was not a good errand that day. We absolutely lost the keys too. So us kids gridsearched the mall end to end, found them after three hours. It was good that we were tiny getting between the adults were not that hard.

The second time we ran into trouble was we were dispatch on a load of Pokemon toys. I could care less about toys since 15 years old, however we were told by three managers and two dispatchers as well as two more dock bosses to keep our mouth shut about this load all the way to delivery some of the product on there apparently carried some value should it be stolen because it's not yet availible for that retail season.

We told our dispatch do not put us on anything like that again. They laughed us out of he room told us to come back in the morning ready for another on of those. We did not come back, deliberately overstayed our breakfast at the amish place on Spanglers spring a few hours. Finally one of the company drivers came complaining about a toy load. That was when we knew we were now safe to show up for whtaeer they had for us.

    PIGS...at walmart....

i had to buy some gasoline, then get a few things at the local walmart....

now, it's been known that many walmarts do not allow truck parking overnight, due to trashy truck drivers, defecating, and throwing garbage on the ground,.,.,,,,,right....???

well at the walmart i went to this morning....all sorts of TRASH all over the place, from those moronic black friday shoppers, waiting for the store to open...
    '
my gosh, walmart puts up with all that trash, all over the place, but a trucker piling it up near a trash bin gets kicked out..>????

yeah i know the philosophy on that...the black friday shoppers, are going to SPEND some money....

when i was leaving the store, the gal i know (that checks your cash register receipt) had told me that from midnight until 3 AM, it was only moderately busy.....then it all DIED DOWN.....and in FACT she said, there are still black friday items that are still on sale.....!!!!!!

appalling, to say the least, the deplorable condition of that parking lot.......and to make matters worse..??

    seagulls all over the place......
