From reading the DOT rules it says i can log it off duty when using the CMV for personal reasons. Since when i move the vehicle it automaticall goes on line 3, how do I log it as off duty? I want to bobtail to a laundromat nearby

Your company has to enable the software setting on the office side.

IF PC is enabled on your elog system, the line will show up as an option. If you can't see it as an option, then it's not enabled.

There are some carriers that DO NOT want their trucks to be used this way. The FMCSA allows PC, but that does not mean a carrier MUST allow it. Keep that in mind.
