Lisinopril with Hydrochlorthiazid is a strong diuretic meant to reduce edema and water retention from congestive heart failure. My mom was given it after heart surgery. That's why you are cramping because it is getting rid of a lot of your sodium and fluids.

Magnesium, taurine, potassium are good ways to combat the cramps. Drink plenty of fluids.

Thanks. That would explain my craving potato chips. Seriously, my dosage of the other thing is probably too low by a third according to the Doctor. It hasn't been long enough to stabilize at a level and soon I will be able to have a blood sample taken to find out what needs to be done with the dosage on the thyroid replacement. For most guys my size the dosage is a third higher but we had to start somewhere so this was the dose he prescribed. Meanwhile the Lisinopril stuff is way off I'm thinking. My blood pressure varies hugely. Most of the time it seems fine, maybe slightly high. Slightly as in borderline of the low range problem area, however earlier this year I went for a 40 minute motorcycle ride and ate then headed back. On the way back it was off the charts high and I had a massive headache. However, that was the only time I noticed anything discomforting and normally it seems that the blood pressure isn't a problem. I believe when the right dose of the thyroid replacement is applied the blood pressure will stabilize then we will see what I need to do about that.

Quit taking that Viagra. ..... I know it's a horrible thing to need to do but the Porno Star days might be behind you now. Your Body of Work will speak through the Ages. It might get you an Lifetime Acheivement Award from the Society To International Film Fan Youth, otherwise known as a STIFFY.

My wife and one of our daughters had thyroid issues. They both had them killed off with radioactive iodine treatments.
The Dr told both of them once they got their thyroid levels under control and steady, everything else (including BP) would get back in line. It did.
That being said, blood work and medication adjustments to maintain healthy thyroid levels, is an ongoing thing for both of them.

Same thing here. Same treatment. Thank you very much for telling me that. I lost a quarter of my weight from the Hyperthyroidism. I was down to what I weighed when I was 14 then zoomed right back after the thyroid was killed by the radiated iodine. I had a bad case of Frozen Shoulder that went away within 6 weeks or less also. The hurricane's messed me up by not being able to get a steady dose of the thyroid replacement, which I will soon be able to get the blood work done to get a diagnosis.

It's amazing how much your thyroid affects everything else. It took them a couple weeks to get feeling better, but the time spent doing the tests was well worth it.
    Best of luck!!
