Millis OTR journal

I can barely believe it, but the last two days worked out flawlessly. They most definitely could have been bad. Tomorrow I'll be sitting at Truck World sippin' on a beer or twenty and watching my boys Hope y'all are doing well out there in Millisland.

 

I'm sitting at the Flying J in Jeffersonville looking at a Millis truck. 333? What's up with that?

 

This situation is different, because I put myself in it by scheduling loads this tight. Part of the blame is on me. Not a normal situation. The last load was the best I could do to get as close as possible to Youngstown by 7am tomorrow. And everything would've been fine if the broker didn't screw me on pickup time. I asked for 10am and he refused even though that time slot was available. Instead, he gave me 8am. By the time I got docked, my 14 had expired. I had to maneuver around as gingerly as possible at 4mph or less so as not to trigger my QC. I was cursing his name the entire time. My first shot today will be named after him.

 

Last night I slept next to the docks at a Sam's Club store where I delivered. The night before that, a Walmart parking lot. No fun to be had at either location. There is WAY too much blood in my alcohol stream. So tonight I'm camping out at Truck World waiting for morning to get here and my Kenworth shop to open. It's time to give my girl a serious spa treatment. She's getting a bath, a PM, a lube, and some minor repairs before her required Landstar inspection. Let the beers begin. WHO'S READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?!?!

 

Why is it then when we play Cincinnati it's a bloodbath on the field and they play like world champions, and when they play the Browns they look like chumps? Are you SERIOUS?? Christ on the cross man, this is retarded. Enjoy this game Cleveland, you're still a joke. Apparently the Bengals are as well.

 

I won't disagree. I love watching #### talkers do poorly elsewhere. You can't imagine how happy I was when I saw Todd Haley get fired from the Steelers and then get fired from the Browns. That was an indescribably happy day. I hate that guy.
