It’s right up there with the guys out here that have to speed up from 55mph as you’re passing them... “small prick syndrome”.

KLLM learned the hard way today and then tried calling me out on the CB about it

ABC is doing a special on Christmas lights. The house they are currently featuring isn’t too far from me. In that same neighborhood (different house) one night on patrol I got an alarm call. No one was home, but inside that house was a baseball card collection that I could retire off of and my kids could too. Rare very expensive cards, all cataloged, several rooms full.

    Tough being honest sometimes.

You know recently I had the dream shop, you may have seen the pictures on here. Anyway, I'm VERY OCD about having a clean shop and occasionally I would leave "projects" out. The Mrs. would walk in and immediately have something to say about the "mess". I bought a second Chevy Luv and parked it outside the shop to which I got a "your NOT leaving that parked in MY yard". I got P$$$$D off and took it to the scrap yard. Then she moves her boys in and all of the sudden there are junk cars/trucks parked everywhere, garbage all over the place and anything they didn't want in the back of their trucks was left laying on the ground right where they tossed it, fishing gear, coolers full of stank, empty beer cans etc. Then the older one and his fiance move into the bar above my shop, the shop becomes their party place, the bathroom was so disgusting I wouldn't set foot in it and what do I hear from her..........ABSOLUTELY F&@%@$^G NOTHING! So I say something to her about it and all of the sudden I'm the bad guy. I left!!

Fast forward to today, I'm temporarily living in an apartment while I look for a piece of land. Found the perfect 5 acres about 40 miles to the east of here with an established well, power, septic and even a 10 year old double-wide along with an over-sized 2+ car garage/shop. I instructed the realtor to put in an offer which I signed. I stroll across the street to change my vehicle insurance to Texas and there came the first shock, they want $380 a month just for my car. I currently pay less than $200 a month for both vehicles AND renters insurance using a Kansas address with the same insurance company. Then the realtor calls me back with some of the pertinent information I was asking such as property taxes and strike 2, I dropped the phone when he told me what the 2018 property tax was on that property out in the mesquite desert. I withdrew my offer before I lost my earnest money.

I have 10 months left on my lease then I'm outta Texas. Yes they are a no income tax state but that doesn't even come close to making up for the ridiculous prices on things like insurance and property tax.
