They could bang on my door all day long i'am not comeing out, i will go to the window and tell em to come back but if i'am on my break they can come back when its done or get a warrant to get me out plain and simple, enough is enough all ready, maybe i will go to there house at 3am when there slepping and bang on there door and see how they like it. Cops need to get of there ego trips.

Never happened to me, but if it had I would have never opened the door. I probably would of fired up the truck and hit high idle and tried to go back to sleep, either that or start knocking back.

I had this happen once in Iowa, I unlocked door laid my logs on drivers seat, and told him "Lock door when done". FMCSA says you must SUBMIT NOTHING SAYS YOU MUST ASSIST. When he said you got to help. I told him Show me in FMCSA he couldn't I told him "Just put inspection in log book". He asked "If I find a violation?" I said my breaks up at 4 am see you then. He left mummering.

Yes. If you are woked up or lassoed into actual work by stupid DOT knuckle dragger intent on making work, restart your rest period. Everything will just have to be a little bit later by another 8 or 10 hours whichever you were working on in the beginning.

Cite the DOT inspector, name and badge number if available as the reason of the delay in your delivery.

Even with the new policy, it seems like some rest areas have an 8 hour limit so they could wake them up with that rule—only if illegally parked, well guess what... suddenly they are illegally parked. Obviously they don't want trucks to park there (beyond the minimum split sleeper provision).

    Coercion

"Creating unsafe driving conditions" could be interpreted as interrupting a driver's rest break, sleeper berth reset or off duty reset. This creates unsafe driving conditions caused by the transportation intermediary and could be interpreted as falling under COERCION
