Yea I agree. I had to travel under it a few times by boat as well, somewhere I have a picture of the concrete pier showing impact of the barg.

Mr. I.W Owens was my EIC "Employee in charge" when I first went down in that area. He spoke of getting the call that morning and working endlessly to assist during that dreadful time. He told me if the engine had gone another 50 feet the engineers may have lived, but unfortunately the soft mud blowed the windows out and killed them. That river gets mighty foggy at times, I've been on it at midnight and after on a 28' triple pontoon. It is right eerie.

 

Coffee is brewing, so while we wait here is some eye candy to start your day. Let's be safe out there....

Here I sit at 7:10 am for my 6:30 sharp appointment.

No crane in sight and they want me to leave because they can’t be blocking the road.

Ha!!!

I told them I’ll park in a different spot but I’m not leaving till it’s off my truck.

Oh well. Parked in OKC. Gonna catch a nap and then maybe get this ole rig a bath.
