Just cover it up and get the road atlas out. Thats steel frame trailer too. Thinking about replacing the old girl. Its seen 105k on the deck in its younger days.

Made it back and unloaded in CHI town. 9 am pickup appointment to pickup 7’ tall equipment to cover with my 4’ tarps.

I know I go for a few laughs at the expense of my wife sometimes on here but I'm like @ShooterK2 , I wouldn't trade her for nuthin. If it wasn't for her we'd have a 1' tall Charlie Brown Christmas tree in our living room and that'd be about it. She decorates the tree, all kinds of decorations in the house and the lights outside of it and just loves every minute of it, singing, humming, all that kind of stuff.

Now I like Christmas and look forward to it every year but all of the extracurricular stuff is just a little more work than I want to put into it and she has zero problem with it. [whispers] It's probably cause she know's she's get's nice Christmas presents every year, lol.

About 1989 I'm with dad at louisville truck show. He tells a guy at Detroit that he has a new detroit. 1990 FL and asks him about oil changes because the dealer said like 20k, he's still changing at 10k. Guy said your wasting money at 10k, what do you do with it. Dad shows him a picture in his pocket hooked to Atrain set. Guy said Oh your that guy, just keep changing at 10k you will be fine. Me and the old man got a good laugh. Apparently this guy at Detroit knew about the truck when it was built. 1990 he was averaging 5.5mpg with a set, No huge power at 435 but it ran cheap compaired to the 88 444 he had nightmares about.

 

I try to keep it around 1200 in cold weather, and around 900 in hot weather. With the air to air and big injectors normal idle can be bad, wouldn't take much to wash a cylinder in cold weather at normal idle..... no heat.
