When I was with Swift they did that to me. They kept me running Troutdale to Sumner hauling Costco loads. Every time after a couple of those running crappy miles that ate up clock I'd call my DM and say get me out of here they got me in that crap Costco loop again. After the 3rd time they did that DM kept me from going to that area. They were such bad miles I was going broke. Loved my DM

My DM will sometimes plan me, or if she knows a planner in an area she'll give them a call to get me something. She really hates her drivers to go out west at all because they get stuck out there.

Carlisle pa t the flying j
Delivered load to abf down the street then came here. Had 10 minutes on 11 when I got there. Glad flying j was close lol.
Only have 3 hrs tomorrow so gonna sit here and do a 34 reset.
Freezing 35 degrees when I got here.
Was 85 in Florida 3 days ago lol -
35 isn't freezing.
Light weight.
I'm headed to NH with a Walmart load.
As I was heading to the Manteno terminal to pick it up I got a message that the delivery was rescheduled for tomorrow.
1055 miles, by tomorrow?! I'm sure they knew I could not do that.
The load was changed from a live unload to a drop, and I guess they just stuck a date on it. After I picked it up I sent a mac 22 saying that I would deliver Saturday at 1500. All seems to me well, as I got the PTA update message.
My last load was around 7K, and this load is even lighter at 5K. I'm lucking out with the light loads. -
LOL.... it is when you come from an area that was in the 80s.
That's a 50 degree change -
Just have to dress.
Some lined jeans and a lined shirt will sustain me to about 10 degrees.
Below that and I put on a sweater.
Below zero and I add gloves. -
Now who is the lightweight? LOL.
I usually where shorts and t-shirt. If it's cold I will put on a flanel jacket.Moosetek13 Thanks this. -
I got a message from a ECT in Phoenix this morning at around 0500. She wanted to know why, when I did a mac 22 for this load, am I taking a 12+ hour break. She said I have already made the load a couple hours later than it had to be.
I told her that the mac 22 was just a ETA update, that after it was rescheduled as a drop there was no way to deliver it in that time frame when my load assignment said 1.5 days later. So I was not going to change my driving schedule from what I had originally planed for this load.
My DM saw it when she came in. She called this afternoon, not about that or my break times.
She was trying to find me a home time load for when I finish up this load.
Well, that was the first comment. Then she went into what she went through to finally get her name to show up as my DM in the computer. They had been trying for weeks with no luck. The computer kept changing it by itself.
Then I mentioned my current load and I ranted for a few minutes, then I lost my signal and we were cut off.
I call her back when I stopped for the night. She then called a planner in my area to see about a load home.
When I got back from my shower I had a new t-call on this load in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She said it was because the planner said if I went to NH I would be stuck there, so I'm t-calling it in the morning at a Sears drop lot. -
Did a Mac 30 request and got a load that I wasn't quick enough. Was already cancelled when I replied to it.
Then they sent me a preplan that was going to new jersey. No thanks.
Sent about 3 Mac 30 with no load response -
Jackson, MS @ the J.
When I dropped yesterday in Atlanta I was offered some lame 150 mile empty/100 mile loaded load which I of course ignored. I sent a message to the planner saying that I'd appreciate ANYTHING headed west. Got a reply stating that they had almost no freight. 30 minutes later my DM plans me on a load sitting @ the Decatur terminal delivering near Dallas Monday @ 1100 am. My first reaction was too much time, then I realized that my DM planned me on it and I was short of hours so I took it.
Still getting used to my new truck. My 2012 Cascadia had a lifetime MPG of 7.65. This truck is already up 7.7 MPG for 9,000 miles so that's good. My current load is less than 9,000 lbs and getting 9.2 MPG. Having nothing but problems with the Espar bunk heater. Unless I let it get COLD in the truck it will not keep running.
Anybody ever drop @ Tuesday Morning in Farmers Branch, TX?
