Clicked on one of their loads this morning just to see. Their credit score dropped from 100 to 90, and days to pay went from 30, peaked a little over 50, and is currently at 43. No thanks.

Coyote huh?
You Better believe they are cheap- But many of you guys ALLOW them to be cheap-
Never Forget- The Trucking Industry sets he Rate- NOT the Broker...But when you guys keep agreeing to their subpar rate options...They aren't going to complain..
Story here......
Gentleman comes up to me a few weeks back at a regular outbound customer of mine and says........ "Where you go with load"?....While I was tarping...
I Stumbled a bit not really knowing what to do at this point...But I Thoiught, "Ok this guy seems new here" What the Heck, So I Told him, "Ive got a 4 stopper up near the Twin Cities"
He Says "What it pay" I Began to chuckle..But again I Figure, I Can help this guy out a lil...He Needs it.
I Gave him a "ballpark" figure within a few hundred bucks
So I say to him....."Where you going"? He says.....Easton,Pennsylvania. I Said Oh Sure,Ive serviced that customer a hundred times..So ,I ask Him, did you get this load thru a Broker? He sais. Yes, So I say to Him, "How much it pay" He told me Coyote gave it to him for $2100.
I Said..."Oh Boy" "You gotta start understanding and knowing lanes and Rates.....Your about $7-800 short on that.
He said "Really"? What Can I do? So I Figure lets help him out again....."Lease on to an existing carrier UNTIL you figure out how transportation works,Your making brokers very happy doing what your doing." -
Who should he lease on to? Generally speaking, they're just another form of parasite. He needs much more information than that IMO.

Molo is the new COYOTE . UPS bought COYOTE couple yrs ago . The old owner starded a new Broker Service called Molo. They are posting loads really cheap . Most of the agents are former COYOTE employess. They currently have a load on the board for 2000 on 1200mile sadly somebody will take it because it finals in a hot lane that booking loads at 3.75 + mi 4.25 is common seen loads go for 5 if you will to roll the dice . Brokers wont pay on a lane if it finals in a good area. Why is that because the shipper doesnt wanna pay your rate lol. They love to throw the shipper under the bus

Molo is always offering loads for several hundred if not a thousand under the 15 day average. See that on every load they have and they always post rates cause they know suckers just love posted rates. They've always had a low credit rating and high days to pay. DAT shows 84 credit score with 38 days to pay. Looking at a reefer load now from them Murfreesboro, TN to Lubbock, TX afternoon pick today afternoon delivery Thursday offered rate $1,950 the 15 day average shows on the app for that lane at $2,691. Every one of their loads is like that but it's really hard to understand why anyone would work with someone that has such sketchy looking credit in the first place.
whoopNride Thanks this. -
I've noticed that most brokers are hanging out loads that are considerably lower than the 90 day average. Booked my first load through Convoy yesterday that picks up today, paying about $3.50 a mile, and booked a backhaul for about the same rate through TQL off of their load board. At 1,000 miles each way it will be a good week..Asymptote Thanks this.

Give it time, I will bet you 10 thousand points that tql load craps out on you..Asymptote and whoopNride Thank this.

That's a possibility, but it's worth the risk as of right now. Always keeping my eye out for plan B. If they prove to be a pain in the butt, I'll stop using them.

90 day average is useless. Even 15 is dated and can be drastically off but generally is somewhat useful. Most brokers trying to cover anything quickly will post a rate around the 15 day average. They normally have a 7 day lane average or even the day before, they know more than us and have better info, it's why they win more often than not. Loads will cover for those averages most times. Molo loads hang around for a long time but they do cover them.
