Hi! UturnGirl here with a new adventure.
I drove local intermodal for Jb for a couple years and left to do something besides trucking. When I decided to come back I tried an otr lease purchase and leased on to JB. After a disastrous year I switched back to company driver regional intermodal with jbhunt. This was my first week.
The orientation process was abbreviated for me because I was a Re-hire. There have been a few changes. Like you can view all the videos from home.
Intermodal has a more rigorous physical exam and I was worried I wouldn't have strength in my hands for that weird squeezy thing. But they didn't do that this time. They invented a new tortuous indignity. They stick diodes all over you and have you do the Macarena.
They've given me a shrink-dink cascadia. Its really nice but everything is half size. That's ok because I'm only out 5 days and off 2. My territory is tx, la, eastern ok, and western arkansas.
I plan to share an honest account of my experience with you just as I did in my l/p thread but it probably will be tame compared to all that.

Jeez a jb Cascadia there’s a ton of those. Your going to have to put a piece of pink tape or something on the grill so the boys in the reefer club know who top park beside
bigguns, Farmerbob1 and UturnGirl Thank this. -
Even though you had a lot of expenses with Lease Purchase at JB Hunt, you will miss the money. Once you get a taste of that paycheck per week it is hard to work for a company ever again, but I do understand why you did it. I know a ton of places you could have gotten a truck that isn't LP
