    Programming out the manual mode is just plain stupid IMO. My "truck from HELL" Prostar few years back would occasionally not go into gear in Auto so Manual mode was the only option. Had to drive it in reverse after bobtailing to coffee shop one night when it decided it no longer wanted to go forward.

    I resisted the auto transition as long as possible after 30 years of shifting.I am now on my second auto and don't care to ever see a manual again.JMHO. The hardest thing I had to get used to was EAZZZZZZZZING back up to the dock.LOL
