Lol that is very true. But Yet to me that is dreaming big. I’ve always wanted to pull reefer with a hood but never done it. I have a job that pays me 100k a year and ok benefits, and really good retirement but I can’t kick that desire that burns inside me to pull reefer. I love being home and being with my wife and baby when they are here, but I still miss truckin all night. So much less stress running OTR than local. I wish my wife understood. Don’t get me wrong, I know it has it’s downfalls, but something inside me just screams that I need to do it before I die.

I’m fed. Getting sideways. Make Moriarty tomorrow and then I’m basically gonna be out of hours. Pecos Monday night...maybe.

I understand, its all I wanted to do as a kid, and all I didn't want as a young man. But here I am. Just saying its a great way to work your way in to middle class. That's about it. Its not so much the trucking but the world we live in.

 

No TMI would be if I let him finish before I ask what he was doing. I didn't want to be rude!

 

Yeah that’s true. I just want to provide a steady and strong living and health insurance for my family. I don’t need to be rich and won’t be as long as I drive trucks. The smart man in me says just stay where you are and do what you can do make sure hauling chemicals works out. The dreamer in me says too at least try.
