There's more than one way to skin a cat.
Of course if I had already bought a bin of grade 5 bolts I wouldn't be wasting grade 8s on stuff like this.BigBob410, Crusader66, cke and 22 others Thank this. -

Worked on my life long freinds 86 Chevy today. He told me it's been running rough and loading up on cold mornings. Electric choke did need adjusting for sure, but what got me was it never would start, just hit on a couple cylinders like it was trying. After a process of elimination checking every detail.... I told him to grab me a set of spark plugs, keep in mind the plugs in it looked brand new! I gapped and installed the new plugs, hit the throttle in the carb twice and when I hit the starter it was like a Singer sewing machine.

I built a motor about 15 years ago. Couldn’t get it to run right? Finally took it to a dyno and we tried a few things. After a while the guy walks away and comes back with some plugs. Put them in and picked up 100hp just like that.
Dyno guy says he has more problems with plugs than anything.
Bought a brand new 1997 Chevy truck that would occasionally start missing. Like once a week. Then it would go away for a week. Took it back to the dealer about 5 timesbefore they put new plugs on it. Never another problem.BigBob410, Crusader66, cke and 15 others Thank this. -
I always wanted a dark maroon single cab long bed Chevy like that. Dark tinted windows with some All terrain tires on it
