I've been thinking about buying some of those.

I have a pair of Red Wings that are the most waterproof boots I've ever seen. About 14 years ago we were getting ready to pump a parrifin inhibitor on a well and needed oil (sweet condensate) to do it. Got to the plant and found the tank had sprung a leak overnight. I waded around in that mess all day working on cleaning it up. I took those boots off that day and didn't touch them for about 18 months. And for the next year every time I wore them my socks would turn brown. I still wear them and they still don't leak.
