Went over to joke with the girls,drink cheap,and buy a big sombrero for 5 bucks,fun back then,I was a young guy. You could also bring two cartons of untaxed American cigarettes back with you,about two bucks a carton of 10 packs. Kids selling them on the street corners to the tourists.
Nothing I ever did involved a donkey,but if you crossed the border at Laredo,and went into Nueva Laredo,Mex. and took the cab to Boystown,yes,absolutely anything and everything went on there. If it's still going,I'm sure you can find yourself a donkey there.
