So I smoked a deer with this peterbilt and 18" bumper so I bought a new 20"...can I get away without using the braces from the frame to the bottom of the bumper?

They are all bent up and made for an 28" bumper and not this 20.

 

Davenport I saw had a bunch of old od trucks the other day, and not sure I know of where you're talking about in between jb and the ridge. Stopped there just between pokey and the ridge on the right and looked at a w9 but hes a tad over the budget but it's a pretty sharp old truck.

 

I had one broke on my W9 from a deer strike. Put a new 20” bumper on but didn’t get a new brace. I ran it that way for a bit but the bumper shook pretty bad on that side. If you run it too long I’m sure it’ll crack the chrome.

New one was less than $20 if I remember right.

I forgot to say, you can just use a spacer and a longer bolt to make the 18” brace fit the 20” bumper.

 

A few years ago I was southbound from Bangor to Portland in my PV. This guy passed and swerved at me going North on the wrong side of the alley.... he took out himself & the next guy coming down the pike... Some people are confused. Some are misguided (GPS).
