Or that community pen at the truckstop. The same one every driver has used to sign his paperwork after hes done his paperwork in the restroom.

How 'bout the serving spoons and ladles in a buffet? You watch people come out of the bathroom and head directly for the buffet and you have to wonder..."did they wash their hands?" "Why are they drying their hands on their shirt?" "I hope that dark stuff under their figernails is just grease".

Wow. Better start bringing Sani-wipes if you eat at Buffets. Don’t touch anything. That and don’t use the utensils to serve your food (just use your hands). :)

Great timing on this thread. I woke up with it yesterday too. Haven't had it in decades. So far eye is red, sore to the touch, and my eye lid a little puffy. WebMD says that 90% of people don't need a doctor's visit and it goes away on its own in about a week. Use a wet compress and eye drops to keep it hydrated, but not Visine to mask the redness. Hopefully I'm not in that 10% that requires medical attention.

Are those good enough odds to risk eyesight damage?

I would go to a pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist. But that's just me..

It goes away in 24-48 hours when you get prescribed drops.

Not really patient, I just hate antibiotics and their overuse. In my family, we go to the doctor as a last resort. Everybody wants a magic pill (or eye drops) to fix what hurts. Some day, humans will go extinct because of a super bug that's immune to every antibiotic we've ever developed, all because we used them too much. Bacteria are smart. If something hurts them, they evolve.
