Buy something with no DEF. Usually a 2007 or older is a good choice. Just cause it's old doesn't mean it wont run

 

To the OP. Rates overall on the spot market have been down, but in comparison to times past its average, slightly below, slightly above. So, if you are starting I suggest a company like landstar where you can dispatch yourself and see the true rate.

But to further answer the question, I think if your ready is the question. If you feel ambitious, got some plans together, have ran the numbers over and over again, have done plenty research on trucks and the pros n cons of all different setups, then it’s kind of up to you when the time is right.

Sorry been busy, I bought a 1998 kw w900, great truck as a whole but it was wore out when I got it and had sat for 4 year when I bought it, lot of stuff I had to replace and the money I saved going cheap I spent fixing small stuff
