Been driving almost 3 years. January I've been here for 2 years. Not the highest paying nor the lowest. For most part they're fair to the drivers. It ultimately depends on what you're looking for on whether theyllt be a fit for you. I have a family so home time is important. In 2 years I have done 4 restarts on road. Only one was unplanned. Outside of that home every weekend. I did solo for first year and a half. It can be unpredictable till end of week roughly when you'll be home. Sometimes as early as Thursday or as late as Saturday. Generally first to come in is first to go out. They do give options though. Last 6 months I've been team driving. It's much more predictable. I leave out on Sunday back usually Wednesday night from West coast runs. Co-worker is lazy he usually goes home I'll take another out and back load and home Friday. Winter we are slower. Usually Nov Dec Jan are slowest. Rest of year we run pretty hard. Easy to average 3k miles year round. Manage your money right and you can take advantage of more home time and stay away from winter weather and busier roads. Especially since majority of loads are extremely light. They focus heavily on saving fuel. Fleet averages 8.7mpg I'm about 9.1mpg. but there isn't any rewards in bonuses. Really no frills just cpm. They also prefer a clean MVR or pretty close to it. We have one of the cleanest safety reasons I've seen. I believe it was 6.1 when I started national average around 20 or so. I'm pretty detail oriented as are they. So I rarely talk to my dispatcher. You won't be micromanaged unless you need to be. Pick up your truck clean for the week. Drop it off dirty and they clean and service it. 60% of drivers have been there 5+years. 80% 2+ years. Our turnover is in hard to find drivers that understand the slow months I mentioned and that want to work hard in busy months. It's easy to learn their Lanes and customers in less than 6 months. Then figure out how to manipulate your clock to your benefit. It could easily make a difference in 500 miles a week.

Thank you for the information. I spoke to Wilber (I think was his name) about a year ago and he seems like a straight up guy and didn't sugar coat and fluff up the company. It really does sound like a company I would like. Thanks again!

Yes. Wilber great guy. Most of those stats I just rambled off were result of asking wilber one day a couple weeks ago. I used to do recruiting and management outside of truck industry before becoming truck driver myself. I just was interested and asked him. He didn't know so he looked up the numbers on his computer. We spent a good hour talking about it. I disagreed with owner once after only being here a couple months. He brought me in his office at 6pm on a Friday. We sat and talked for 2hrs. He didn't agree with me but he heard me out. A year later they instituted a policy similar to what I suggested. Actually a little better. I wish they paid practical mile vs hhg, but it's hardly ever too far off. I wish they had 401k they say they are working on it. I wish they had ezpass another they said they are working on. I hardly ever get called into scale houses. Never been inspected either. Right now part for tolls and scale tickets and they reimburse you. Paid vacation after year is paid on average salary for year I believe maybe last 6 months. It's an actual pay check. No paid holidays. All in all could be a little better. Could be a lot worse.
