    $65 oversized only, $135 for OS/OW. I wasn’t thinking about oversize only.

Interesting! I wonder how many van companies take advantage of that? I know the beer plant in Columbus probably has jumped all over that.

Want to muddy the waters some more. Look into “commercial zones” around major city’s. In the Kansas City area we are limited to 22,400 pound per axle with no maximum stated. We have 5 axle dump trucks grossing 110k plus netting over 70k per load.

3 axle full frame end dumps and a 3 axle tractor netting 45 tons per load.

The theory behind this rule is to reduce the number of trucks on the road by increasing the payload of each truck.

Lol meanwhile, somehow that’s safe with a annual blanket permit but people #### bricks if they hear a truck was 85k gross in a mirrored situation without that piece of paper.
“Mah roads is wrecked from trucks!”

Hell at least in Missouri and Kansas you don’t even need a permit. Just a maxed out cab card.

It’s amazing how greenbacks can make a bridge stronger, isn’t it?

Does anybody know which state has special req. for divisible loads such as Jeep and booster loaded on a trailer and weighing over 80K. For example, WY only allows one piece or Jeep or Booster with OSOW permit.

I've hauled divisible OW loads through Wyoming to Colorado. Never been hassled at the port.

With the exception of California and Arizona.
If the western states haul OW divisible loads. Which they all do. Divisible permit shouldn't be a problem. Because they're hauling things like oil, dirt, etc. And they weigh over 80k.

So if you see more axles then the standard 5 axle semi. Double bellies or tankers for instance. They're divisible OW.

That's not talking about the standard extra axle trailers that haul NON divisible OW.

Many states allow over 80000 without a permit with a 3 axle trailer, some even a spread, just not legally on the interstate. NM allows 86 on a spread, kansas is 85.500 on a spread I think it might be the same with a third axle, ok is more iirc, then you get to Texas, and back to 80.
