When I was a kid I read that the Cugnot wagon was built for haulin' cannon balls for Napoleon during the French Revolution. Is that true @4mer trucker ? I don't see it mentioned now. But i haven't looked much.

My grand father started with a White Mustang. half track 250 gasser single axle and single axle trailer and would do 3 rounds a week of 30-40k steel from Stubbenville Ohio to Chicago IL. Swore you would wedge it wide open and get out and walk up the hill. Them men new how to work.

My great great grandfather was skidding logs with a team of mule when he became a teamster. Later to buy a chain drive Mack to replace mules. 4 generations later now. I did learn to drive in a cabover freightliner with no power steering. And forget about ac.

Dang @snowman_w900 youre having too much fun.

    Ain’t gonna lie, I’m a little jealous.

Do ya think by the time we get to retirement time our rigs will be old enough we can just show em like that and the youngins will drool over em like that?

“Look son, this was way back before they even had EGR....”
