Decent day turned to crap. Had a reload out of Seguin to get me north to Tulsa dropping tomorrow then reloading from that area to get me home. Get to Seguin and the friggin pick up numbers been used. ########. Dispatch calls and it's been double booked so I drove over here for nothing.
At least I'm getting a little money off it for a no use ticket or whatever the industry term is for we screwed up so here's a fraction of the money you would have made.
Pic for something to look at. -
My great grandpa had a set of mules he made his living with doing anything. He said when they were stoning st rt 235 (rt 69 then) he pulled a wagon that had a floor made with 2x4’s on edge, he said you pulled into the gravel pit and guys with shovels would load your wagon (you helped) then went out on the road and they pulled every other 2x4 and the gravel would fall through then went back to start over. He said he skidded logs, pulled wagons for harvest, great stories.Slowpoke KW, SL3406, Al. Roper and 24 others Thank this.

I thought I would post about the old Heidrick Antique tractor and truck museum in Woodland,Ca. just north of Sacremento on I-5. According to their website,it has moved their old truck collection to Reno in 2013 and warehoused it,dam shame. Maybe truckdad@ knows something about all this. I used to stop at this museum back in the old days whenever I was doing the north- south I-5 trip. Was always enjoyable to see the west coast influence on trucks and tractors, from an east coast guy. If any of you guys have time to kill, the antique tractor display is really enjoyable. Nothing modern, most stuff is pre WWII. Truck parking was very easy, but I haven't been their in quite a few years.

Oh,about the Emeryville stuff, love them, drove many. I went to work for IH factory downtown 25th st. Baltimore truck shop in 1970 as a diesel mechanic, and they were still the predominant truck of the highway then. Nothing cooler than an Emeryville, with a hot NTC-335 Cummins, and a 13 speed! DCOF405!whoopNride, Slowpoke KW, Al. Roper and 20 others Thank this. -
