Hi, I have 1999 Volvo 610 with Cummins N14 and original Generation 1 old style hood on it.
I was wondering if I can put Generation 2 new body style hood on my truck?
    Thanks!

No, you can't, the front axle is positioned differently and the hoods are not interchageble

Yes you can, front axle needs to be moved forward 4 inches. New gen rear bracket and re drill front bracket and shock. Gen 2 hood, bumper, and door pillars. Also need gen 2 hood latch brackets bumper bolts up with gen 2 brackets and so does the hood. It has been done

I seen a Volvo 770 with a newer style hood on it. Not sure what or he did it. but it looks kind of odd because the rest of the truck has square fearings and where the hood aligns it stands out

i love the older front end. If it’s nice and cleaned up painted new headlights.

Lol was it a white volvo? If so I know who that is. You need the side fairings as well to perfect it. Cabs identical

Idk why you would want to. I prefer the look of my Gen 1 over a gen 2 also headlights on gen 1 far superior to the crappy projectors of the Gen 2.

I will admit the fairings are a boatload easier to take off on a 2nd gen than on a first. It's a 2 man job to work with my fairings. They are heavy and cumbersome.

Hi, no I didn't. Still driving with original hood. If you make it possible please share how.

I believe new cowls need to be put on the truck, not sure about the rest
