I just received a job offer from them and was curious on how it works if you need a personal day off on the weekend for something family related

Typically you request time off in advance if known or just use a sick day if not.

With the no phone policy I’m fine with not having it while driving but does that also include outside the truck while getting loaded/unloaded

It takes an hour to load and normally you are inside so using your phone is not a problem.
Unloading you should be focused on the task at hand but some have found a balance w/o making a mistake, but if your found to be neglecting procedures while on your device can you see where they would have take issue with that?

I just posted on the other thread that you started.
Phone policy means NO PHONE OR ANY ELECTRONIC DEVICES WHILE OPERATING A LINDE VEHICLE.
That being said, your not gonna have a problem with talking when you load or unload. Just as was posted earlier, don't gab too long and run a pump dry or allow the phone to take all of your attention away from the task at hand.
Only reason you probably would be restricted from using a phone at a customer site is if they have a no phone policy on the premises.

Praxair out by Rio Tinto in slc has been hiring for the past 10 years. The one down here in Phoenix has ads out all the time. I have too many jobs and they wont consider me. No tickets, accidents, clean PSP, so it's the only thing I can think of

Realistically Linde doesn't want cell phones used while doing anything Linde associated. But some plant operators, managers, and etc aren't going to say anything about a phone whine loading, or unloading. But if your in your personal car and your on Linde business. They really don't want you on the phone. Even though they don't have cameras in your personal car.

However Messer Gas is taking over most of what was Linde. And the original Linde has merged with Praxair. And they will now be called Linde. With this there is great speculation to some policy change for head set use of phones while driving. But for the most part I feel it won't change.

    scythe08 Thanks this.

Pray tell, from my dry bulk experience you might end up with a tanker full of vapor. God only knows the properties of that ... that... bomb. What do you do with it now? Another "Load" from the unloading point to dispose of it or is it resold to maybe a refinery or some other mega outfit that can use the gas?

One more dumb question, what does it take when you do finally eliminate that gas load to get that tanker ready for anything, that potentially might react with the previous load?
