GUYS HELP!!! EXPIRED MED CARD!!

Get it renewed send the paperwork to the dmv.. Make sure that ur license is still class a .. I know ive heard of ppl getting downgraded from class a to a normal license when forgetting to renew med card ,, just make sure u send paperwork in to dmv, i know in arizona i can just email it to dmv... Just make sure to check ur license is still a cdl

 

Im 25 year driver from PA. It happened to me (twice) Your CDL will most likely downgrade automatically to a four wheeler license. My advice is get home to PA fast...and then get with DMV. It may take a week or two. I had to get a whole new CDL issued ...but I did not have to retake any tests. Get Home Asap.

There won't be a fine ...but yes get with your local DMV or call Harrisburg for instructions. Expect and prepare for two weeks off work. I was in Utah when mine lapsed...I even had gotten the physical done...just be prepared mentally ...Harrisburg is not likely to just switch it back on like a fuel card...they might but don't expect it.

 

That is your priority number one.

Find a DOT doctor in the morning.

Get to your home DMV asap and work on it. Some people are downgraded off Class A instantly. You might actually not be legal by license class to run that past midnight.

Get to it. It's the most important overriding problem.

Once you have DOT physical passed, find any way you can to get your home state to take the paperwork. Maybe even fly home then fly back to truck.

 

They won't downgrade your license for 30 days. They send out a reminder in the mail 1st. Atleast here in Tx they do.

Go get a new med card then go to your mvd/dmv/drivers license dept/etc and submit the new one and you'll be fine.

 

Yea downgrade is not instantaneous, it takes a month or two. You’ll get a couple notices in the mail before they downgrade you. Not a big deal, like you said your home.
