Every single company I have ever checked out all had their mileage pay showing 0.44 or 0.56, even the current one I worked for on the application showed 0.55.
Income tax taking in a third of your income there. You working oilfields or something?

    yeah, .44 dollars, not cents.
44 cpm is correct, $0.44 is correct, 0.44 cpm is not...you have to define UNITS.

Was about to say that's a crap load of tax on 160k... I knew oil fields had good pay but heard many lost their jobs a little while back. The real question is if they hire new drivers or is it one of those jobs that require 5 years driving experience first? With that kinda pay I wonder why more people aren't heading for Alberta?

easy 100k first yr, up from there

crappy workers lose jobs in down times, the good employees keep working

everyone is always looking, and just like OTR, ppl quit on a whim and go work for the next company, so there are ppl at every company that know you and theres always a hiring bonus if you get someone hired at your company, so the good ones are always getting calls to come over here

yeah some hire new drivers, some will retrain the idiots that have driven for 11ty yrs and still cant shift, it all comes down to attitude, the job is trainable, attitude isnt

ppl dont come here cuz theyre ####ing lazy, they want life to be easy

The rest of Canada hates us. Far as I'm concerned unless they pay taxes and live here, people should just stay out of here.

No we're just tired of being #### on by the rest of the country. Got no problems with those who relocate here for work at all.

Here's a newsflash for you. With the exception of Quebec and most of Atlantic Canada, who for some reason think Prime Minister Socks and his jackbag handler Butts are the best thing since sliced bread, the whole country is being crapped on. Large. And the sooner the millenials and dope smokers realize that the better off all of us will be. The oil industry as well as manufacturing in the country is in the toilet and all Socks and Butthead can do is issue harmless platitudes and do nothing about it.
