I have owned Bmodels all my life. Never broke a crank. If you dont pull start one you won't most likely. I have run the narrow rod journal motors at 2100 all night night after night never had trouble their either. Thing about a B is your foot. Dont stab the throttle run her up hard and let off it quick then get another gear and do it again. Pump them up slow let the crowd race down the get on ramp. Get it in the big hole then let er eat. If you got the rears then you gonna catch the crowd

That’s a lot of money for a 25 year old truck

I pull a hopper and I think we is pretty close to each other geographically speaking.

Ask around bout a red and black flat top 359 that has MAMA CRIED on the back of the bunk. Or my black 379 Lost Cause, both B models. We dont loose a corn race unless we want to

Well put @wore out . I couldn't explain the why behind it, but the B models have always kinda told me to drive just like that. Let the turbo catch up and keep easing into it.

Anything from that year area is pretty much 30k plus for decent that I see listed on Facebook and truck paper.

If your gonna do local hopper work do NEED a pre elog truck. I wont go into details much but even with a farm tag you are gonna be pushed into doing stuff outside the radius certain times of year. Unless you got pics of the broker pokin a boy dog in the butt.

@Lysdexis you could do what I did if you have an eye for repair costs. Buy a auction truck and fix it up. I got an ok 387 for 5700. $20k later I drove it out of the shop and I know the usual stuff wont be coming back up for a while. I seen plenty of dealers selling em as-is, for what I had in mine after all the work.
