It MIGHT be, if it had a modicum of truth in it. When the TRUTH is: Bush resisted numerous times and frustrated the attempt to allow Mexican trucks run inside the U.S. for YEARS, but was eventually FORCED to by LAW. Amazing how the Democrats re-write history to suit themselves. Revisionism only works when people don't know the facts.

I don't think he resisted too much. In fact, in April 2007 he was noted in the news of pushing for the mexican trucks to have more access AGAINST congressional objections.
NAFTA was the result of both parties and not just one.rjones56 Thanks this. -
For me, it's always been a safety issue.....MINE.
I wouldn't mind the deal if Mexico could insure I wouldn't be hijacked, molested, kidnapped, shot, stabbed, or robbed. While in their country.
I would like to see their side of the border, to be at least as safe as our side when I am there in a truck.
Extortion and bribery is a way of life there. -
Again, he was following the LAW, written BY Congress and SIGNED by Clinton.

Negotiated by his father George Bush. Clinton did not get into office in 2000.
Approved by a Republican Congress. Signed into law By Clinton.
As I said, BOTH PARTIES are responsible.GAPrincess Thanks this. -
Clinton had the option to NOT sign, or VETO.
-
correct me if I am wrong but George W was in office on 911 which was in 2001 only been in office 9 months when that happened and Clinton did 8 years before that.....again Libs not letting facts get in the way of an argument...DUH.
-
?????
We were talking about Bush and his pushing Mexican trucks.
Libs not getting facts right? Maybe you should think again.
I am not a liberal.
I see the error. I was on the phone. Yes, Clinton was there in 2000, meant 1992 when NAFTA was negotiated. -
You have that right. I really wonder what would have happened if he had done the veto. It was a republican congress and had major support for it. We will never know.
