You want to talk about #### roads?? Dont make the mistake like I did after I 1st started and taking the back roads between Cherokee AL and CVille! Looked at the route and thought to myself "man that looks stupid going clear back up to 24 by Jaspar then coming back down to CVille"....well it may look stupid, but I'll gladly do it over AL 35 again!

Oh and take a look at Hwy 33 in West Virginia off 79. Delivered JD Gators to lil town off 79 and got sent to Elkton to pick up a load of beer. Well looked at map and there was no interstate to take me there but Hwy 33 ran directly east and almost into Elkton....1am I take off....longest 3hrs of my life. 2 trucks on the road hauling logs, both get on cb and ask me wtf I'm doing on that road lol. No cell service or Qualcomm the entire trip. Lost count how many curves I had to come to a stop on just to make sure no other cars were coming from the other way, and then pray my tandems were going to clear the guard rail lmao 12% grades thank God I was empty.

Ohhh and if you ever pick up a load in Clarion PA going to Valdosta Ga DO NOT take Pa66!! Just go the however many miles it is back across 80 to get on 79 you will thank me later lol. From Clarion to Morgantown WV I broke 40 mph for like a total of 5miles. I had a line of cars behind me thay would make the longest coal train in the US jealous because they couldnt pass and I couldnt go any faster lmao.
Farmer54 and Steelersjunkie Thank this. -
Good lord. Just looked at it. 33 is a road that I take fairly often. But... It's the stretch of road going west from 77. 33 Is WAY better than 35 if you're going west. But that stretch you're talking about looks nasty, yikes.

Needless to say I was alot more adventerous (aka stupid) than I am now lol. Backroads in Midwest I'll gladly take any time I can, but anywhere else its interstate if at all possible
Steelersjunkie Thanks this. -
Yup, I've done that as well. Never again.

Well this is 1 time looks arent deceiving lmao. I know I posted about it on here the night after I did it and Im sure my description of it then is even better than it is now after its been awhile lol.Steelersjunkie Thanks this.

Here's my Millis PSA for the day. If it's feasible for whatever route y'all are running for the day, take a look at 33. It'll probably add some miles to your route, but it beats the hell out of 35. 35 will run you straight through omelette country, and that's a hard pass. Omelettes is a slang word for me and a few of my friends back home for Amish. They are always clogging up that road with either buggies or farm equipment. On two occasions I have waited for 4+ hours because of an accident where either a tractor got hit by a semi, or a buggy. I can say whatever I want about the Amish, couldn't care less if anyone is offended. My last name is Yoder which might as well be Smith or Jones in the Amish community. Everyone on my dad's side of the family is either Amish (real-deal Amish) or Mennonite and I don't associate with a single one of those freaks. I hate organized religions to begin with but that crap is a straight-up cult. At some point it would be awesome if they stopped being such a pain in the ### with those buggies. Get with it, get a car. It's 2018 man. You aren't quaint, you aren't special, you are a roadblock. But I digress. Take a look at 33 going west from 77. You're welcome
