C15 low power

Good fuel pressure and waste gate pinched off as well as extremely low egts.
I’m leaning towards big boost leak.
I would also, remove exhaust pipe off back of turbo to make sure that wastegate is closed fully. I don’t trust the shop pressure tested the whole system. Maybe they just pressure tested the intercooler. If you pressure test yourself. Leave the intercooler connected to intake on motor. Pressure test on turbo side.

 

A stock 550 single turbo 6nz should be around 28-32 psi. I'm guessing you have a twin turbo accert engine if your boost is up 48psi.

No. the rubber pieces will stop at the filters, if they made it all the way to the check valve, that would be the least of your worries, since you will need the entire fuel system replaced including all the injectors, so no. The rubber pieces is probably the inner liner of your hose deteriorating causing a huge restriction and your low power, so I would replace the hoses from tank to filters or all of them.

 

that black small pieces are the inner fuel hose inside the metal braided lines. i thank your engine is starving for fuel. the hoses are acting like a check valve.

I agree with the others change your fuel lines .. it’s probably giving enough fuel under light conditions but when pulling hard it’s starving when lines collapse from the suction.. if nothing else you’ve eliminated a future problem ..

 

The last I checked you have a rubber hose from back of head to check valve. On some of the e-models you have a rubber hose from filter base to front of head. So yes you can get rubber in the check valve and not affect injectors.

 

I’m not gonna speak as though he has one but usually 379’s do. He should have a fuel filter gauge which measures restriction. It will be showing as though you have a dirty fuel filter if you have a clean one on and your fuel lines are restricted.
