I have been working for Tango for 2 months now and overall it has been a good experience. Miles have been good and I have been treated with respect by everyone I have been in contact with. The equipment is in good shape and it is comfortable. I run OTR and that consist of SE,MW and Tx. No Northeast or west coast.I have been averaging 2500 a week and Haul a lot of rolled paper.

I see alot of Tango rigs up here in Chicago, since you run midwest, have you been through up here? Whats the account? Can you idle or is it restricted?
THX!wadesout Thanks this. -
Theres a GP yard here in Lafayette and Tango is the carrier for them.
Their yard is full of Tango trailers.wadesout Thanks this. -

I have also worked 4 Tango for @2 months. Overall it has been a positive experience. Paychecks pay my bills, very little sitting with no load, and I run mostly SE, MW, and TX. Lots of paper, including scrap, rolled, and corrugated. Some food warehouses, those are the most time consuming, but all dry box. Lumpers paid via ComChek. Out 2 wks, home 2 days is the worst part tho. My daughter plays softball, and season has started. Gonna kill me not to watch every game, but the sacrifice in home time provides her with lifes' opportunities I did not have.

I'm interested in Tango also. Can anyone answer a few questions?
I live in PA (an hour from Carlisle) do they hire from this area?
Can I take my truck home with me (I pay rent for a space on a secured lot)?
I have just over 15 months OTR at what rate per mile would I be paid?
Are trucks equipped with bunk heaters or APU's?
Thanks for any info you may have. -
i worked for them back from 96 to 01 if i ever go back otr ill go back ,great company and a lot of miles

I know this is kinda of off topic. However, I am an Owner Operator leased to Tango.
Effective as of 10:30 AM Central...Tango will not be be doing OTR until Tango can haul it cheaper than what they are paying by brokering it out. Once again drivers, LET THE CHEAP FREIGHT SIT. Average will be 2500-2700 miles per week doing the "shorter" runs. I figure that means around 300-400 mile runs. This information has been confirmed via Driver Manager around 1300 today.blueeyes40, Kimono_skunk and trucker43 Thank this. -
I recently heard that Tango and Shell have signed a contract for hauling oilfield
equipment, is this true?????
I have dont many runs for Shell and their rate is cheap as shat.
