There is something on the portal about a new system for rating safety. Does anyone know any details?
That brief announcement left a lot to be desired.

 

Lake havesu az at the loves.
Shower dinner and sleep. Place is busy for showers 1 to 1.5 hrs wait.
625 miles today in just over 10 hrs.
Deliver this load tomorrow in Mira lo.a ca. Then truck goes I. Shop for its 50k service.
Was planning on doing a 34 at this time so I can get my mail, Meds, and a much needed haircut but did o e yesterday.Will try and get it all done after putting truck in shop.

At home watching TV. My truck is sitting at the terminal with a Gatorade load that delivers tomorrow in Mira Loma @ 6:00 pm. I'm stacked with a General Mills load that picks up in Perris, CA and delivers in Layton, UT @ 1:00 am Wednesday morning. Only saving grace of the 1:00 am delivery is that it's at a grocery DC which means I'll probably be there til at least 4:00 am. By then the early risiers will be leaving the truck stops and I should be able to find a place to park in Ogden. All this just so I can break even for the week (my Thursday drop went on the last settlement).

 

That's looking on the bright side.
I don't consider anything to be a saving grace for a 0100 delivery.

 

I normally don't either and usually turn down early am deliveries.

 

Made that delivery and had no emptied. So they sent me to Wal-Mart to get one.
Told dm they don't give out emptied specially during holidays.
Sure enough got there and they said no

So dm said just come here. So I put truck in for its 50k service and shop said owomt be till weds. Till they get it in.
So instead of rushing to get everything done today I have all day tomorrow which was my original plan

I had planned to deliver my load tomorrow morning because I wanted to avoid coming here. Didn't work out like I planned.
There is a major snow storm moving in tomorrow morning that would have prevented me from delivering tomorrow, and I really needed this load completed in this pay period.
I had just enough time to deliver it tonight and make it here.

It looks like I may be stuck here for a day as the storm moves through, so my next load will be a day late as well.

 

I got out of SLC this morning just as the snow began. It was getting a bit heavy by the time I picked up my trailer but it got better as I went west.

 

Still here at jurupa terminal. Truck got I to the shop around 10 this morning and he said it should be done around 2 pm.
So walked over then and they said it needed a water/fuel separator and have to order it
So most only sit here another day

 

That seems like such a common part to not have it in stock.
