I applied at Fleetex as well and they do the same thing. I assumed it was normal. Whats the problem exactly?

Don't stress man, I know it looks bad now, but there are lots of ways to make money and be happy in this industry. The first year sucks, but after that, the sky is the limit.

Don't be scared of the bigger companies (TransX/DeckX/Challenger) they have the miles, and you always get paid, and won't end up in the CRA's corsshairs. Yes the big company BS sucks, but its 2018 and that's just kinda the way the world is going. (Except Bison, they are already up in 2050 levels of Corporate BS, H&R isn't an option).

Quickest way to get a truck, lease one at TransX/DeckX. Almost wish I did that myself, but I love the company i'm at too much, and love my Volvo. However, they feed their lease op's all the loads they want, the deductions are 0, the fuel is dirt cheap (I'm envious of this, hopefully my company can follow their lead with BVD/Loves, and get away from FlyingJ). I've met a couple guys, who got their trucks through TransX and then took it somewhere else. Met one Deck X guy who got his truck, found a driver for it, and leased another one; 0 down 0%.

Anyway, just my 0.05c for today.

    #### man! I really want to go with challenger but to be paid $14/hr for 8 weeks and to either live near Cambridge for 8 weeks or commute from Toronto everyday. Compared to gfs Sysco or bison who are all within the Toronto area

Yea, that might be a problem (The commuting Part), Bison is paying 700/wk (Gross) for 13 weeks, and you have to sign that 2 year contract, so just never mind them; for real.

If you're close to Bison in Mississauga, TransX and ERB are right down the street. Thats my suggestion, esp ERB if you don't mind reefer; which Bison or TransX will prob make you do anyway. If you want to go lease or turnpike at some point, TransX is the better option. If you want to stay company or go O/O with business credit on your own; ERB might be the better bet.

Hope that helps, lemme know if you need anymore info.

PS. Kriska is across the road too, might be worth a stop.

PPPSSS. Reading the google reviews on Bison's Terminal in Mississauga ROFL Holy ####! I thought we had it bad in Calgary!

Duuuudddeeee!!! Well done, you’re gonna be set here shortly. Out of those 3, it would be real tough to not go with ERB, real tough.

Best Fleets to Drive For Talk Building A Driver-Centric Culture

Less than 30% turnover at Challenger/ERB/Transpo and dropping! I keep recommending Challenger/ERB for a reason; even tho I never worked for them. Just what I’ve seen on the road, and the people I’ve talked too, they really stand out. (Bison won’t release their actual turnover numbers, but I’ve been told it’s between 90-105%)
