Where is everyone #5

You and I both, let the guys with family and kids at home be home. I work then I take time off when everyone else is busting ### trying to pay off the credit card bills. Less people traveling, cheaper flights and hotel rooms, smoking deals on vacations because everyone is broke.

 

At the Love's in Williston. Got a chicken tender meal at the Chester's for $7.50 (was expecting WAY less chicken for that price) and found out there is free Wifi in the parking lot. I'm looking forward to spending every Wednesday night here for the foreseeable future, lol.

 

Round here they put that stuff on mint leafs and smoke it. Call it “dust”.

I’m not sure where the appeal comes from, or who came up with that...

 

I used to use Thanksgiving/Christmas day as a bonus day to work on trucks. It was out in the driveway in them days, my boys trying to help me trying to be patient with them. My daughter bringing cookies or brownies maybe cheesecake out to me. Bout the only break I would take was to go eat at Mom and Dads bout noon. Always done what mine needed last, figured I could run ailing if it come to it. I guess now that I got better #### I just do it outta habit.......I really miss my ol junk somedays.

 

Somebody had to be the first one to try it, kinda like eating a mushroom off a cow pattie, thumping a toad to piss it off then licking it........ Who the #### thinks to try this stuff the first time?

Over in the delta a friend of mine was a deputy. He said he was patrolling in the county and these two guys were working on an old Freightliner log truck possibly rebuilding the motor in the road. These guys were part of a family that was backwoods and loved to fight. (Told me the grandfather killed the grandmother with a shotgun when she came at him with a knife. Left her laying there, called 911 and kept watching tv)

My friend pulls up to these guys and says “hey, you need to move that truck out of the road.” He says one of them turns around and says “whose gonna make us?” My friend said he was so surprised by the response that he had to check and make sure he was in his uniform and in his patrol car. He says I am, with the sheriff’s department.

Guy turns to him and says “you must be new.” He says, “yeah, I’ve been here a few months”. Tell you what, since your new, I will move it this one time. My friend rode off like WTF just happened. The other deputies filled him in later about only going out there if you get dispatched, leave them folks alone.

 

I ain't shooter, but I usually have my phone in my pocket when out walking around. I'll see something and think wow, I need to look at that again later. So I take the phone out and snap a few angles to be on the safe side. Like this morning. Sunrise out back behind party row at the Kenly NC Petro. That's just some frost on the grass. The dusting of snow they had there day before yesterday is long gone.

Edit to add: That's taken with a Samsung S8+, everything on automatic with the flash disabled, with no fiddling with the image after the fact (except shrinking it to 15% so some viewers won't blow out their mobile data plan just looking at one picture).

They talking about snow up your ways tomorrow? Forecasts showing nothing in Newington but apparently supposed to snow over here in Maybrook in the afternoon...

Signs all over NYC today about snow tomorrow.
