I did look on TR for some info but there was none. I searched YT also and again zilch. Google also failed.
If you are looking for a loadboard that actually hooks up OOs with shippers directly this isn't any help.
The name DIRECT FREIGHT is a come on.
It is the usual loadboard with, from what I could see a ton of TQL loads. As most of us know friends don't let friends TQL.
So they are basically liars. They don't have any direct freight at all. It is all brokers i.e. the usual.
As for me back to the drawing board.
At least anyone now searching the TR system can get the real scoop on these con artists and avoid wasting their time.
I lasted less than 1 minute (literally) after I gave them my CC info for a 15 day free trial until I used the chat system to cancel the stupid thing.
Now I wait for the inevitable comments saying that it is the best thing since sliced bread. LOL.

Of Course there isn't any info-And that "Direct Freight" Is just overloaded freight from Brokers.
To Get 'direct' freight, You Gotta Work for it- Theres No special Website or Easy way.
2 of the hardest things in trucking..........Finding Good Drivers and securing your own freight.Brettj3876, bigbyrc, Dave_in_AZ and 4 others Thank this. -
The Convoy app has quite a bit of direct freight, and they pay you within 48 hours with no fees. Ran my first load for them last week and it was pretty cool.
Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
If you are getting it from Convoy it is brokered freight, not direct freight.Brettj3876, bigbyrc, izifaddag and 2 others Thank this.

I try convoy from time to time. Seems like every time I search there are no available loads. So no flat bed loads within 150 miles of Houston? Idk maybe I’m using it wrongizifaddag and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

So you're saying that there are no shippers using the Convoy app themselves? It's funny because when I compare a run on Convoy to the same run on DAT, the Convoy app usually pays much closer to the spot market rate, and brokers on DAT are always low balling the spot rate. The Convoy load I hauled last week was quite a bit higher than the spot rate for that lane.bigbyrc and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

The app definitely has some bugs, and I can see where it wouldn't have good coverage for all types of equipment in all areas. Some days I see no loads, and others I see tons of loads. It's kind of hit and miss.Dave_in_AZ and HopeOverMope Thank this.

If Convoy is collecting a fee it is brokered freightizifaddag, Dave_in_AZ, whoopNride and 1 other person Thank this.

Technically yes, but it's like dealing with one broker that you never have to talk to. Their rates are based on spot market trends instead of a broker's mood, and you get paid within hours after delivery without sending an invoice, just a picture of the proof of delivery and no factoring fee. If a rate seems low for your liking, you can place a bid on it and they let you know if it's accepted. It's actually kind of nice not dealing with a human to book a load and their attitude.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
