u drive over 100k w/no oops, except you have over 30 yrs. experience. anyway, we've been thru this, you have a right to your opionion as i do mine, i doubt we'll change eachothers....and that's fine.
don't worry about me, i got a real job now, good benifits, good pay, home at night, home for lunch even....Thank God.
-if anything, i feel bad for you for being in such a cut throat, diver screwing industry....don't have to look far to see that's the truth.
and i worked there, i'll judge them....thank you, 2 years i know exactly what they'll do and how they'll treat you and when....you won't stop me from speaking my mind, or anyone else....so they can keep hiring rookies, never mentioning the word 'dac' to them, letting them run illegal as hell without saying a word....making bank off them, and cutting throats when it suits them. i don't have to work for another company to call that bull-####.

Faber, just a quick note to you,I was hired at Mav as a student in oct 2008,at that time I thought I was going to Boot Camp! I started looking at what was going on during the week of orientation and thought this just a hiring and firing company! 4 days into the week and one of higher up's told us they had fired 40 drivers while we were there getting hired! I knew something was wrong with the picture when he said that, of course that made all 18 of us scared to death we was'nt gonna make the cut. I was gonna haul glass instead of flatbed, and Little Rock had no idea what there glass div. was all about and they told the 6 of us that were going to glass those exact words! needless to say I did not stay, once I went to N.C and talked to the supervisor there. To me Mav was running us through there L.R. office like cattle through the stock yard! Hope things work out for you....
Faber Thanks this. -
I drove by their yard at the beginning of Feb, man they sure had a buttload of trucks sitting there. Most looked like they were empty, and then next to their yard was bunch of them for sale.
Faber Thanks this. -
i'm good brother....it took a long time, but i have a great job now and am thankful for it.
i hope things go well for you too.
Thank you for sharing your story....

look people, i have no use in bad mouthing maverick, i'm not 'hurt', really i don't care- especially at this point....but i'm not scared to speak my mind, like all the other guys that get on here and speak theirs....and maybe it will help someone out.
really, the whole thing is just sad....these are people's lives....sad....ronnieb67 Thanks this. -
you may want to pull your dac report, make sure when you quit they didn't put you got 'fired'....just a thought....
-
example....page 9 of this thread....
-
I would call 4 incidents an unsatisfactory safety record.
-
irrelevant....the point is he quit and they put he was fired....they LIED on his report....

sunarab, perhaps i read it wrong but in two sentences you said you had 3 years of clean service. then said you had a few oops. so which is it? unless Maverick was driving the truck when the oops occurred, they are not responsible for your oops, you are. Henceforth you are responsible for your own DAC. They were and still continue to be a great company. What would you have done if the company was yours, profit was non existant? Any smart businessman would research where they could cut their losses the most and the fastest? I'm glad in these economic times you were able to find something better and hope whomever you are working for now are more tolerable to your oops, as long as its nothing major of course.rickstephens and sewerman Thank this.
