    Hi,

Is there a forum or website for questions concerning repairs on trucks out there? I have a new/old truck I will need to maintain myself and wonder where I can turn when there are repairs I might be able to do myself. Has anyone come across a good one?

    Thanks in advance,

    FredW

What kind of repairs? Small stuff is pretty much normal joe kinda things, such as maintenance. Now motors and tranny's, your gonna be better off to take somewhere that is qualified for the job, unless you have the know how, money, and equipment to do so.

How often do you change the oil, and do you do it all at one time usually?

Also how often normally between brake jobs? I have new brakes and drums and wondering how long roughly til I have to worry about that again.

Hi, I am talking about changing fluids, rewiring something or things along those lines. Right now I need to change a sensor probe for the speedometer and can't find out what the gap should be between the probe and the teeth. I am talking about things like that. Anything big would have to go to a shop. Thanks again guys!

    Same goes for arvinmeritor.

Best thing to do, is post a specific question to each problem or request for help. There is SO much that can be covered, the original questions are lost in posts/threads that are somewhat threadjacking what the thread starter asked.

Screw the speedo sensor in until it hits the tone wheel, (gear teeth). Back it out 1/2 turn. Lock the jam nut.
