I have depression and bipolar disorder and I am taking Seroquel and Celexa - I have a note from my doctor stating that it won't affect my driving - I am just concerned since I saw on the DOT website that if you have any kind of mental disorder, you're not allowed to drive - I am a newb so I haven't taken the drug test as of yet - do they test for these drugs? Has anyone with these kind of disorders pass the DOT drug test? I just don't feel like getting all the way down to orientation, get tested and then have to thumb my way back home - Any info will help - THANKS! :biggrin_2551:

    .
I don't think your meds will be an issue. But your diagnosis may be.

While truck driving is considered an unskilled job. The restrictions placed upon the driver, is rigid.

I would invest some time with a recruiter and a DOT officer, before I spent any money on schooling.

They see what's on your physical, and do you honestly think they will hire a person with MENTAL issues, in this economy?
