Idk if I count as a youngun at 29, but if that was gone through and restored a little I’d drive the F*** out of that truck

Again, no offense to anyone, but no anti lock brakes so you actually have to know how to drive." But the computer makes sure I can stop." No automatic braking, again, you need to know how to drive. "You mean I have to actually pay attention and watch the traffic?" No computer to govern the engine, so you have to have common sense. " But the computer makes sure I won't get a ticket." You have to check the oil and water every single morning. "But the computer tells me when everything is low. Why would I have to check the water and oil every day? You are pulling my leg, right?" You have to watch your gauges because you don't have a computer to shut the engine down before it's damaged. "How am I supposed to watch the gauges and drive? That sounds dangerous to me. I don't know how anyone could do that ! The computer does all that for me. It sends off bells and whistles if I have a problem." You don't have a computer to scream at you if you over rev going down a hill. "What does over rev mean? You are really confusing me man. I'm a good driver. I just get in and go. The computer tells me what to do all the time." No automatic transmission and no cruise control, so you have to pay attention to what you're doing. "But the computer does everything for me. How can I do all this? Nobody can do all of this AND shift gears!" No computer to let the truck idle for 2 minutes before it shuts down. " "But the computer does that automatically. I always wondered why the truck keeps running. I didn't know I was supposed to let it idle..." And if you have manual slack adjusters...
"my head hurts. I don't understand what you're trying to tell me. This is all too much work. I just get in the truck and drive I don't know what you expect from me. The computer does everything I don't have to do any of this stupid stuff."
The only way any Youngun would get in the truck I had like that is if they went through MY schooling. Again, no offense to anyone, but in the end you would have some goon look at you and say, "boy that was fun to drive" as you look at your beautiful truck blown up like it was in Beirut.
Technology relieves people of skill. Like the youngn'' at the cash register. If for some reason that cash register didn't flash them the number and they had to count the change, great confusion would ensue if you were paying $0.99 and gave them a dollar. -
