I figure you handled it better than I would have. I would have stayed in the second spot and told them to unload it or watch it drive away

 

I just...eek.

What a way to aggravate a guy with what could’ve been such a simple thing with solid instructions from one person.

“Driver, go up the round a bout, turn around and come back. Pull straight in.”

Or

“Driver, blindside into our parking lot staying towards the outside edge.”

Done. I would’ve moved once. Instead I had to move three times because everyone gave me different bits and pieces of where I eventually needed to be.

It’s enough to make me wanna strangle someone after spending an hour pulling tarps, cleaning off my deck, throwing chains in a rack... just to spend the majority of my time trying to decipher how the hell these guys want to unload me.

No one here is gonna complain about a change of plans. But good grief.

 

I get it Hoss. I’ve only been driving for 7 years, but I’ve had more frustrating moments driving a truck for dumb reasons than I ever did at any other point in my life.

 

Some days I wonder...

Chicken came first or the egg?

Are these places set up stupidly because of truck drivers.

Or are truck drivers “stupid” because of how these places are set up?

 

I hate to say it but I think it’s probably geared more toward the problems with drivers.

 

I'm in trouble. This hibachi place gives you so much rice, I need a hopper bottom to tote the leftovers. No room to get one in the parking lot, looks like I will have to be rolled out of here.

How goes the OJT?

 

It’s going. Was with a different trainer the last two days of this week. Made a world of difference. I’m getting it. It’s gonna take time to figure out but I think it’s doable. Probably have my own ride some time after the new year. Leaving this Thursday to head down to Cali, and Friday my wife is having a C section and having our second baby. So I’ll be off a couple of weeks

 

I saw this on the Facebook today. Made me think of @DougA right quick.
