If on the off chance that anyone will be in Wheeling tomorrow, I'm probably spending the night at the TA. I'll introduce you to Ruttenbuck's![]()

Wish I could have been there buddy. Instead, I loaded in Hartford WI late yesterday, almost out of hours and decided to hit up Richfield tstop one more time before it closes. Fish fry Friday night, not disappointed. Talking with the waitress, the site is to be razed and a new Kwik Trip coming in. I like Kwik Trips but it just won’t be the same.
Oh well, the times they are a changin’. Gotta roll towards St Louis. -
Oh I forgot to mention that part. That was with the tandems all the way forward. Had to take it to this place in Arlington and have them rework it because apparently Miller doesn't do reworks anymore even if it's their contractor's (NFI's) fault that the load got borked up. That was an adventure in itself because the place had moved since we put the directions to it in the QC. I drove a whopping 139 miles yesterday and had less than an hour on my 14 when I parked in Burleson for the night.Steelersjunkie and Suspect Zero Thank this.

Ugh NFI or whoever is responsible for this in Ft. Worth needs to get their #### together.
Was told to drop reworked load in yard, as it is now late and they must reschedule. Was given new load.
Best I can get my weights: 11480/30040/33840 and that's with the tandems slid back to the barely legal position.
If I were running anywhere where I might encounter ice or snow I'm not sure if I would be comfortable running with my trailer that much heavier. -
@Goobr54 you would've hated my load today. 44k and running on 68 in MD and WV. I know how much you love that road. I gave myself an hour of cushion when I left for the final. I got there 10 minutes early. And by the way, that hour of cushion was on my GPS, not Google. My GPS thinks that my truck has a max speed of 55, because that's how I have it programmed. It'll do 85 quite nicely
I STILL lost 50 minutes. That's my fun morning

Even when things were running at their smoothest at that brewery, it was always a joke. I won't touch Texas loads here. I hate the state overall, but I steer clear for financial reasons. The freight is garbage. I see Texas loads constantly on my load searches. The pay is garbage. And Millis would be making less than me. I have zero idea how it is that they've managed to keep that area afloat. I'd be shocked of that region isn't either just breaking even or costing them money.Last edited: Dec 15, 2018

I hear ya. I'll be on it again tomorrow with my next load. At least I'm not going through Cumberland again.
