I don’t know them personally. They’re the big time for sure.

So our 10 year old neice (who we call Mouse) is being raised by my wife's parents. Mostly because her dad is in prison and her mom (wife's sister) is a methhead who can't quit couch surfing and pole jumping.

Anyway last week Mouse told Grandpa she wants to live with a foster family. We've been trying to figure out who put this crappy idea in her head, thinking it was her parents or something. Turns out it was Chuck Norris. Evidently she saw an after school special where he was talking about it. Had to have a talk with her and explained the meaning of "results not typical"

FC1362B2-DC88-4FF2-ADD0-82D3F2937AE5.jpeg My wife just sent me this. She said our little girl was holding on tight. I don’t mean to hijack this thread but man that tugs at me. It’s amazing how much a little kid will change your perception of life, and how much certain things really matter.

I got to follow this up 387 today out of Midwest.
IMG_20181215_100455.jpg The guy behind me was telling anyone who would listen how he don't miss hauling those and how relaxing life is with ELDs in his Volvo.
Not that anyone believed him or even engaged in the conversation he was so desperately trying to start...but I wonder what makes some people think everyone is interested in hearing their resume.

Good luck man! That's the way it was for my wife. My son was almost 10 pounds and my wife is kind of little so they did an emergency c section and everything went well. When my daughter was born 3 years later it was a planned c section. The great thing about it is it's a lot less stress on Mom and baby... which in turn means less stress on you!! And your kid won't have a cone head for the first week!! Lol! Good luck to y'all!!

Thank you bob! As long as everything goes well, then I’ll be happy. Scared to death but at the same time excited to see the addition to our family. This is the last one for us.

@stwik I don't miss those run around days. Just FYI, there isn't any of that in the sand business.

I’m just not used to our customer base...

At Melton it was a roofing yard, coil dock, or a job site...

At SPD it’s a tight dock, a freight forwarding ramp, or a job site...

It’s different. For sure. I was surprised by the lack of directions at Boeing. You could get lost in that place as a truck driver and just “show up” at the shipping desk a day later and I’d doubt anyone would’ve even noticed. It’s a weird thing to me.

I’ve backed up into a dock more in the last two months than I did in 14 months at Melton...

    Just a different animal here.
